A Return to Zone 6
Through salvaged materials, local walking routes, and community-repair practices, the work reflects on returning home: to making with care, and to finding meaning in the overlooked. Developed in Portugal in collaboration with APICCAPS, the Portuguese Footwear, Components and Leather Goods Manufacturers’ Association, the collection debuted at the Portuguese Embassy in London during London Fashion Week. The work has been featured in Forbes, British Vogue and Vogue Korea, recognising Annie’s thoughtful approach to sustainability, circular design and craftsmanship.
Combining up-cycled footwear waste with hand-crafted construction, A Return to Zone 6 blurs the boundaries between function and sentiment. Each pair carries both story and soil from the places that shaped them — fusing storytelling, sustainability and a deeply personal sense of place.
